Beloved Husband, Dad and Grandpa passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Sparrow Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on February 2, 1934 in Lansing, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Edith (Fournier) Diamond, brothers Ernest and Donald, sisters-in-law, Maxine, Marge and Nancy. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years Barbara (Hoppes), daughters Cheryl (Edward) Timpf, Dianne Diamond, son, Michael (Denise) Diamond, grandsons Nicholas and Zachary Timpf, brothers James, Harold (Madeline), sister Elaine (Larry) Miller and sister-in-law Lorraine. He was a charter member of The Catholic Community of St. Jude in DeWitt and was employed by Worthington Steel until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed model trains and being outdoors. He served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict. Funeral services will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at The Catholic Community of St. Jude in DeWitt with Fr. Dwight Ezop officiating. Visitation will be at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home in DeWitt on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with the rosary service at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Catholic Community of St. Jude in DeWitt or a charity of your choice in Chuck’s memory.
