Christine Ann Abbs

Christine was born June 15, 1944 to Gaylord and Geraldine Crowell in St. Johns, Michigan, and is preceded in death by her parents; Gaylord and Geraldine Crowell; her sister Penny Crowell; and her daughter Sandra Brunner.

She is survived by her devoted spouse of 42 years Robert (Bob) Abbs; brothers Tim and Dick Crowell; daughters Tammy Brunner Sampson and Tina Brunner Pell; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Christine began her nursing career at Carson City Hospital, then moved onto St. Lawrence Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, and then went on to University Community Hospital in Tampa, Florida and Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia. Her loving and fun personality will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Christine's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Saundra Bailor who attended with Christine at First Baptist Church in DeWitt, MI; Kelly and Jay Riley for their support as close family friends; Jackie Mudget for being a dear friend; and The staff of Hospice House of Mid-Michigan (St Lawrence) who took such loving care of Christine in her final days.

Christine was a member of Middle River Baptist Church in Carnesville, Georgia and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
