Bath, Michigan
Clark A. Losey was born in a farm house in Cherry Hill, Michigan on October 29, 1914, and died at Sparrow Hospital, with his loving family by his side, on February 14, 2012, at the age of 97. On January 3, 1940, he married the love of his life, Doris Beasley in Angola, Indiana. This year they celebrated 72 years of marriage. They had one son, Skip (Marilyn); 3 grandchildren, Audra “Freddie” (Richard), Naomi “Sammie” (John) and Scott (Andrea); 4 great-grandchildren Brianna “Buster”, Ean “Boomer”, Corbin “Corky” and Elena. He retired after many years working for Zeeb Farms in Bath, Michigan. Clark loved to farm and hard work was his way of life. Straight corn rows and plough furrows were his trademark. He lived by believing that your word and your handshake were truth. Over 97 years, Clark saw many changes. The cost of a cup of coffee upset him so much that he would not buy his in a restaurant. He was fast to be mad but just as fast to get over it. Clark believed that if you could not pay cash for something that you did not need it. He and Doris saw many parts of the country Alaska, Montana, Georgia and quite a few other states. They loved to drive the back roads and explore places they had never seen in Michigan. They especially enjoyed their one room cabin in Harrison, even with no indoor plumbing! Clark loved to attend the horse pulls in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana and knew many of the teamsters. For many years, he and Doris would visit with their friends who were sick and could not get out to see anyone. His life was a Great Planting to the Last Harvest. The family would like to say thank you to Pat Zeeb for calling 911, the DeWitt Township Fire and Rescue, Mercy Ambulance crew, Sparrow Hospital Emergency and the 5th Floor West staff for their care, kindness and compassion.
