Doris Irene Childers, age 86 of DeWitt, MI went to be with her Lord and her husband in heaven on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. She was born on November 12, 1935 in Rockford, OH the daughter of Charles and Virginia (Hooks) Graham.
Doris had a strong faith and love of God. This showed in her caring and giving nature. She was supportive of her church, especially the First Assembly of God in East Lansing and the Eaton Rapids Assembly of God. Doris had a love of praise and worship music.
She is survived by her children, Gary Childers, Mike (Sherry) Childers, Dave (Sheila) Childers, Brian (Sandy) Childers, Steve Childers, Debra (Noah) Bell and Dennis (Judy) Childers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Graham; sisters, Jeannie Motz and Sherry Cole. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elvin Childers on April 12, 2021.
There will be a Graveside Service at 11:30 am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel.
