Glen graduated from Everett High School in Lansing and apprenticed to become a journeyman pipe fitter. He retired from General Motors in 2001.
Glen was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved any activity that allowed him to be out in nature. He enjoyed camping, boating and relaxing at Big Lake. Some of his favorite pastimes were spent with family and close friends playing cards and cribbage. Glen was known for his humor and the true joy he got from playing practical jokes on friends and family.
Glen is survived by his wife, Sue; daughters, Adelle and Betty and brother, Roy, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Betty; siblings, Roland "Butch" Gurk, Gary Gurk and Dalena Miller.
Visitation will be at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes (DeWitt Chapel), 205 E. Washington St., Friday, November 18 from 1 p.m. until memorial service at 2 p.m.
