Joyce Marie Leach

DeWitt, Michigan and Zephyrhills, Florida

Born November 8, 1937 in St. Johns, Michigan to Edna Mae (Reinhart) and Winnie Roy Phillips, passed away on November 26, 2015 at the age of 78. She graduated from St. Johns High School in 1956. Joyce retired from the State of Michigan and also worked at Farm Bureau and Michigan State University. She enjoyed participating in the choir at Tropical Acres in Zephyrhills, Florida. Joyce also enjoyed bowling in her early years, watching Nascar racing and cheering on Jeff Gordon, cooking, and watching her grandchildren grow into the amazing adults they are.

She is survived by her two children, Cheryl (Spenny) and Brian Leach; grandchildren, Derek and Bailey Spenny, and Noelle Leach.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William John; siblings, William Phillips and Betty (Jean) Rossow; and parents, Winnie and Edna.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, with Pastor Wesley B. Emerson officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
