

Judy dedicated her life to her family, and her role as a devoted wife was a testament to her enduring love. She married Gordon on February 9, 1974 and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
As a mother, Judy was the epitome of nurturing and support. She took great pride in raising her children. Her love extended to her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. She passionately supported her children and grandchildren in their pursuits, especially in sports where she became a familiar face on the sidelines, cheering them on with boundless pride.
Judy had a passion for life that was evident in her love for animals, the vibrant colors of her flourishing garden, and the exhilaration of water skiing and camping adventures. Her zest for life was contagious, and she reveled in the simple joys of nature and the great outdoors.
The heartbeat of her family, Judy was the glue that held everyone together. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality, where gatherings were filled with love, shared stories, and the aroma of her delicious home-cooked meals.
Judy was the beloved wife of Gordon Abendroth Sr.; loving mother of Stacy (Todd) Powers, Gordon (Angie) Abendroth Jr., Bryan (Angela) Abendroth and Kevin (Kara) Abendroth; cherished grandmother of Jessica Powers, Jasmine Sarvis, James Abendroth, Callie Abendroth, Izi Graham, Brody Abendroth and Aubri Abendroth; great grandmother of Elias Abendroth, Wyatt Sarvis and Allison Sarvis; and dear sister of the late Trudy Matthews.
A visitation for Judy will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home 205 E. Washington St. DeWitt, MI 48820. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
