June A. Shepherd

June is survived by two children – Gerald L Shepherd and Sue C (William) Allen; grandchildren -- Scott Shepherd, Catherine (Mike) Atchison, Jennifer (Daniel) Russell, Benjamin (Molly) Fettig, Doug Shepherd, Jill (Randy) Potter, William (Vicki) Allen, David (Nykol) Allen and Sean Allen; and great-grandchildren -- Ava, Van, Parker, Spencer, Zachary Potter, Autumn, Kimberly, Mikayla, Conner and Zachary Allen.

June lived her entire adult life in the Lansing area, and her childhood in Dimondale. She worked at Mills Dry Goods, Kositchek’s, and the State of Michigan, retiring from the Department of Treasury. June loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends, especially when she could do so in northern Michigan.

June was a member of the Woodview Church of the Nazarene. She will be missed by all of her family and friends, all of whom will remember her gentle thankful heart, warm smile, and wonderful kindness.

The family will host Visitation at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home in Dewitt from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Monday, October 3. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 4 at Woodview Church of the Nazarene, 1500 E. State Road, Lansing, MI. There will be Visitation at the Church one hour before the service (10:00am).

June’s family thanks the staff of Gunnisonville Assisted Living and Great Lakes Caring Hospice for the quality and kind care provided to June, and especially her special caregiver, Jasmin. Donations can be made in June’s name to Woodview Church of the Nazarene or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
