

Keith was born January 14, 1942 in Mason, Michigan to the late David and Frances Stone of Mason, Michigan. In addition to being preceded in death by his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; brother, Dart Stone; sister, Barbara Titus; and grandsons, Travis DeArment and Joshua Garcia.
He is survived by three sons, Chris (Britta), Brian (Laura) and Dean (Angie) of San Antonio; two daughters, Denise (Rob) DeArment of Hawaii and Tami Stone of New Mexico; two sisters, Kathryn (Dennis) of DeWitt, Michigan and Carol Smith of Mason, Michigan; sister-in-law, Beverly Stone of Allendale, Michigan; two step-children, Jamie (Mona) Hullinger of Indiana and Debbie (Brian) Smith of Missouri; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Keith joined the military in Marcy, 1061 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years in the military police with tours of duty in Germany, Japan and Vietnam. He retired from Kelly Air Force base in San Antonio, Texas in 1981l. He continued his life by working at the VA hospital for 20 years before final retirement.
He will be remembered for being a spirited sports fan and an avid golfer. If you had a sports question he was more than willing to strike up a lengthy conversation. University of Michigan was his favorite along with Detroit Tigers, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys.
He was a 1960 graduate of Mason High School and played several sports which included football, basketball and baseball. He always looked forward to returning to Mason for family get togethers, class reunions and Wednesday coffee with classmates at the downtown coffee shop.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery, 213 N. Jefferson Street in Mason, Michigan.
