Age 33, lost his battle with brain cancer on October 10, 2010. Kristoffer was born July 29, 1977 in Lansing, the son of Merl C. Truman and Kim (Phyllis) R. Truman. Kris was a longtime employee of the State of Michigan print center and unfortunately his work there was cut short due to his struggle with cancer. Kris was passionate about sports, music, and politics. He loved to share his enthusiasm with all of us. He knew stats and facts that most of us never dreamed of knowing, and held baseball especially close to his heart. Kris, a loving son, brother, friend, and honorary uncle will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Kris is survived by his loving parents; and brothers Mike (Meg), and Josh (Jodi). Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., with visitation 1 hour prior on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI with interment following in Rose Cemetery, Bath, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A celebration luncheon of Kristoffer’s life will follow the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayne State University, Brain Tumor Research Fund, % G.R. Barger, M.D., Dept. of Neurology, 8D-UHC, 4201 St. Antoine, Detroit, MI 48201 in memory of Kris.
