Lawrence Franklin Merrill

Lawrence F. Merrill died at home on March 25, 2013 with his wife by his side. He was born on October 1, 1927 to Lawrence and Mabel (Underwood) Merrill in Edmore, MI. He was a US Navy Veteran and was employed as a machine repairman at Oldsmobile for 30 years, retiring September 30, 1978.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna; children, Gail (Ray) Mance of Lansing, MI, Keith (Lynn) Merrill of DeWitt, MI; grandchildren, Penny (Erik) Sather of Pearland, TX, Tracy Mance, of Royal Oak, MI and Bryce (Rosie Marceroni) Merrill of Lansing, MI; great grandchildren, Molly Sather, Gabriella, Paisley, and Aiden Merrill; sister, Mary (Frank) Shannon of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and brother Bill (Sally) Merrill of Lake Isabella.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Merrill at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, Michigan with Pastor Wesley Emerson officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
