Mary Belle Laughlin

Mary Belle Laughlin, 90, passed peacefully on her journey to our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 16, 2011. Born on June 3, 1921 to Russell Young and Stella Mae (Silman) Young, Mary is the last surviving sibling from a family of ten. Predeceasing her are brothers Albert, Jim, William, and Bobby Lee; sisters Ruth, Lucille, Mabel Grace, Bea and Pearl. Mary is also predeceased by her husband Willard. Surviving are sons Patrick and William, grandchildren, Patrick, Casey (Becky) and Kelly and great granddaughter Olivia Belle as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Mary Belle will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, mentor and friend. Her impish sense of humor and strong personal character will be missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Catholic Community of St Jude Church, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt MI with Father Dwight Ezop officiating. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt. Those wishing may make contributions to the Ingham County Medical Care Facility, 3860 Dobie Rd, Okemos, MI 48864 in memory of Mary Laughlin.
