Michael Ray Cornell, born December 7, 1952 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and adopted by Ross and Muriel (Koyl) Cornell from DeWitt, Michigan, passed away June 16, 2013. Mr. Cornell was a graduate of St. Johns High School and a former member of the Homer Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a Cub Scout leader in Homer and a Boy Scout leader in Albion. He was predeceased by his parents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Lenore of Coldwater; sons, Michael Cornell of Quincy, Michigan and Joseph Cornell of Concord, Michigan; 4 grandchildren; sister, Michelle Cornell of Santa Fe, New Mexico (formerly of DeWitt, Michigan); and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt, with Pastor Chris Rice officiating. Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to The American Diabetes Association, P.O.
