He was preceded in death by his father, John; maternal grandparents, Mildred and James Fox; paternal grandparents, Rita and Al Kurtz; and mother-in-law, Edith Disinger.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Nicole (Elenbaas) Kurtz; his two cats, Ellie, and Tina; mother, Susann (Jim) Kurtz; siblings, Peter (Gwen) Kurtz, Leslie (Ed) McShane, Jill (Frank) Polese, Nancy (Brian) Marsh and Amanda (Jeff) Long; father and mother-in-law, Rick and Penny Elenbaas; brothers-in-law, Rick Jr. (Melissa) Elenbaas, Lenny (April) Snoap; sisters-in-law, Jessica Elenbaas, Lisa Elenbaas; nieces and nephews, Ricky III, Brooklynn, Sydney, Katie, Dylan, Jamzyn, Jakob, Dominic, Larry, Meckenzie, Joseph, Chandler, Isabella, Madison, Collin, Bianca, and Kendyl; and great nephews, River and Tavyn.
Noel graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School, and Michigan State University, with an accounting degree. He was an extremely dedicated, hard worker for General Motors for many years. He began his career with General Motors working on the line; and soon after graduating from MSU, he moved into various office positions. He was currently working in Lansing, MI.
Noel loved sports, and collecting sport cards. Noel always loved the outdoors, especially times spent at the family cabin on the Muskegon River. He loved spoiling the nieces, nephews, and his cats. Noel enjoyed going to the movies and eating out. He was a man of few words, but his keen intelligence and wit always left you smiling.
A memorial celebration will be held at 1 pm on July 20, 2019 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820, with a 1 hour prior visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ionia Animal Shelter, 3853 Sparrow Dr., Ionia, MI 48846, a charity of your choice, or to the family.
