

Richard Louis “Butch” Myszak of DeWitt, Michigan was born on March 8, 1939 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of the late Louis J. and Stephanie (Kudyba) Myszak, passed away May 2, 2015 at the age of 76. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Butch retired from GM after 38 years as a millwright. He was a Charter Member of the Catholic Community of St. Jude, Mid-Michigan Model A Club and owned several Model A cars. He was a life-long farmer and enjoyed card playing and hunting. What he loved most was being ‘Papa’ to his grandchildren and being a part of their activities. Butch and LouAnn wintered in Florida. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him and the character that he was. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerome; and sister, Patricia Myszak. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, LouAnn; children, Amy (Ed) Moats, Rick (Susie) Myszak and Angie (Rick) LaBar; nine grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsey Fox, Bryce and Brock LaBar, Bobbie-Sue, Tucker, Billie-Jo, Josie and Lane Myszak; sister, Kristine Soderberg; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt, MI with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family will also receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the church with the Rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the Catholic Community of St. Jude or the charity of your choice.
