I'm so very sorry for your loss. Rob was a freshman at DeWitt when I was a senior. We played on the golf team together. He is a part of many fond memories I have of those days. Even when he was schooling me up and down Prairie Creek GC. My deepest thoughts are going out to his family.

There are no words to describe my feelings in whole, but I do want to share with your family and our friends a few of my fondest memories of you. Without a doubt, my favorite time with you was the summer between high school and college. We did a lot that summer, but there was one night we ended up out on the golf course just walking around. It was just you and I and we talked and talked and talked. We shared our proudest moments together and we laughed about the crazy things we did. We talked about what college would be like, the dreams that we had and what we thought life would be like - neither of us had any idea of the realities of college - it turned out even better than those dreams we shared. We shared so many of those moments together, road trips to Albion, Detroit, Windsor, Mt. Pleasant...the list goes on. I will never forget those times with you - those memories will last a lifetime. We went our separate ways after college, not purposely, it was just the direction we chose. I moved away halfway across the country, we lost touch, not uncommon I think. My last memory of you Robbie, was just about a month ago. You had applied for a job that my company was recruiting for and when my recruiter handed me your resume, my smile could have been seen from miles away. I picked up the phone immediately and we talked and talked and talked again, catching up on what we've been up to over those years. Save some stories to share with me for the next time. I miss you brother and will love our friendship forever. Rest in Peace.

Broke my heart to hear this sad news.  I have so many incredible memories of Rob from middle school and high school.  Prayers to all of his family and close friends.

Rob, one of my fondest memories with you was the summer before we went off to college. I can't recall what we did earlier on that evening, but we ended up walking out to The Creek and just talking, laughing, sharing high school memories and talking about the dreams we had about college. I know for a fact that a handful of those dreams we shared came true over the next few years and some are probably dreams that we still had into our post collegiate days. We went to different schools for college, but still spend so much time together, from you driving to EL to pick me up and then heading back to UD/Windsor for the weekend, to visiting Jay down in Albion and up to CMU to visit with Greg....the memories are endless. Our sophomore year, when Joel, you and I lived together, we shared so much and learned so much about each other, yes we had our moments like everyone who lives together does, but the memories of that year will last forever. The next couple years, we started venturing off in different directions, but still were together a ton. We were so close. After college, we didn't see each other hardly at all, maybe an occasional run in here or there, but it would feel as though nothing was lost, we were still brothers and always will be. Then, on September 15th of this year, you applied for a job that my company is recruiting for. I was handed your resume by one of my recruiters and the smile I got on my face was enormous. I picked up the phone immediately and we chatted for about a 1/2 hour. We talked about meeting up soon to catch up, hug each other and reconnect. I thought I'd have more time for that and I feel so guilty I didn't call you back sooner. Forever rest in peace, your memories will never leave my heart. I love you Rob.
