

Robert Brown Wells, 85, of Monroe, Michigan, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born July 12, 1929 in Belding, Michigan to Raymond and Ceyneth Wells. Robert married Joanne Hendry on June 28, 1952; they were married and in love for 63 years. Robert was employed by Monroe Public Schools. He taught science and biology at Cantrick Junior High School for 35 years. He and Joanne were the owners of Wells Landscaping for over 40 years. Bob was a graduate of Michigan Normal College and the University of Michigan. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Bob’s patriotism was expressed through Channel 1 Multimedia. He traveled the state and country to present programs on his patriotic mission. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Bryan Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughters, Lynda (Bill) Schoonover, DeWitt, Sue Wells of Royal Oak, and Roberta Kay Wells of Fort Wayne, Indiana; brothers, Tom (Dixie) Wells, Dick (Barb) Wells; 3 grandsons, Bill, Andy, and Dave Schoonover; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 am at Redeemer United Methodist Church, 13980 Schavey Rd., DeWitt, Michigan. The family will receive visitors Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the church.
