Rose graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lansing, MI in 1955. After high school, she was employed at GMAC Insurance Company. She then went on to marry Gary C. Parks and became the best mom ever to 5 children. She stayed at home to take care of the entire family until she started working at Meijer for approximately 9 years, and then went back to caring for her family. She waited a long time, but then became a grandmother to 3 grandchildren.
In her younger years, when her eyesight was good, she would sew her daughters' school clothes and Halloween costumes, then continued sewing many business outfits when they started their working careers. She loved to read Harlequin romances until her eyesight started to get worse, and then started playing a lot of solitaire and enjoyed doing word searches. One of the most important things in her life was her faith. She attended The Catholic Community of St. Jude for over 50 years. She volunteered there for many years. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and in her opinion, the best cat ever, Charlie.
Rose is survived by her children, Gary Parks of Lansing, Ann (Samuel) Payne of DeWitt, Constance Parks of St. Johns, Catherine (Thomas) Driscoll of St. Johns and David Parks of Lansing; grandchildren, Alyssa Driscoll, Samantha Payne, and Nicholas Driscoll, and her youngest sister, Marge Malloy. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Gary Clyde Parks, 4 sisters, June Fellows, Bernice Chick, Frances Vogel and Joan Cook, and her parents, Bernard and Nellie Biergans.
