Rosetta Mae Meyers, age 87, of Bath, Michigan, passed away on December 9, 2023. She was born on August 20, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, to Charles and Dortha Dumont. Rosetta was a determined and strong-willed woman, known for her loving and caring nature. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, fostering over 70 children and providing a nurturing environment for all.
Rosetta was deeply involved in her community and had a passion for child care. She dedicated her life to being a mother to any child in need. Her selflessness and generosity touched the lives of many. In addition to her child care work, Rosetta was an avid quilter and crocheter, finding joy and solace in creating beautiful pieces.
Rosetta is survived by her children, Robert (Paula) Meyers, Sarah (Mark) Loomis, Rose (Edmund) Brisco, Charles (Lisa) Meyers, Roger Meyers, Bonnie (Steve Potter) Meyers, her brother Thomas Dumont, and her dear friends Elizabeth Atkinson and Ruth VanHorn. She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dortha Dumont, her beloved spouse Robert J. Meyers, her sisters Elizabeth Meyers and Mary Hart, her brother Charles L. Dumont, her son Rodney Lee Meyers and grandson Leland James Meyers.
A memorial service to celebrate Rosetta's life will be held on Saturday, January 13th at Bath Baptist Church, with a visitation at 11, and the service starting at 12 noon. Following the service, a luncheon will be held to honor Rosetta's memory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Rosetta Meyer's name to Bath Baptist Church for kitchen supplies and equipment.
