Sarah Katharine Lago

Sarah Katharine Lago, born on May 19, 1986 passed away peacefully on December 10, 2017 after a brief illness. She graduated from DeWitt High School in 2004 and Central Michigan University in 2008 with a BA in Psychology.

Sarah began life as a precious daughter and baby sister who adored her older brothers. She loved family traditions and spending time with those she held dear. Organizing celebrations was her passion and she was the glue that held her friends and family together. Sarah was a selfless spirit who was energized by travel and new adventures.

She worked at Jackson National since 2008 as an Operations Associate. Prior to that, she worked at the DeWitt District Library.

Sarah is preceded in death by her uncles, Edward Lago, Robert Kass, and Scott Belvo; and paternal grandparents, Betty and Ernest Lago. She is survived by her parents, Gina and James Lago; brothers, Benjamin (Jessica) and Matthew (Holly); nieces, Charlotte and Alice; nephews, John, William, and Henry; maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Gene Belvo; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and treasured friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 17 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St., DeWitt. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 18 at 11:00 am at the church, with visitation one hour prior and a luncheon to follow.
