Died March 29, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born in Detroit, MI and proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War as a medic. After returning from Korea, he graduated from Ferris State University in 1957 with a degree in pharmacy.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Honora; children Linda (Mark) Schuelke, Patricia (Joseph) Dorris, Michael (Suzanne) Perry, Annette (Eric) Herbert, Denise (Mark) Schrauben, and Krista (Pete) Fiero; fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and brother Michael (Donna) Chapman . He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Suzzanne, and his beloved son,Jerry.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and traveling with family and friends. His quick wit and wry humor will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, DeWitt on Tuesday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, the Catholic Community of St. Jude Building Fund, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
