

Willard A. Stoddard, born November 20, 1925 to Leland and Hazel (Marrison) Stoddard, passed away May 18, 2013. Mr. Stoddard was a World War II veteran who served in the Army motor pool. He was a resident of Bath since 1958. Willard worked at Motor Wheel for 7 years and at Michigan State University as a locksmith for over thirty years. He loved to cook, hunt and trap and enjoyed gardening, puzzles, bird watching and feeding. He was very devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Reva A. Stoddard; his sons, Mark (Margo) Stoddard, Neil Stoddard, and Brian (Debbie) Stoddard; daughter, Gail (Jeff) Geasler; ten granddaughters; two grandsons; five great-granddaughters; 2 great-grandsons; one brother and one aunt. Funeral services for Mr. Stoddard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, Michigan, with Pastor Joe Gerkin officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bath, Michigan. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, at the funeral home.
