Dear Mary and Dan, Saddenedtosee the notice of your dad's death. My sympathy to  your family.  Your dad and mom were important poeple in my life.  Your mom was not only my Nursing school classmate, but my housemate after we graduated and during the time she was dating your dad. He had several brothers and cousins and would often arrange  a date for me so we could double date. Lots of fun times. I moved to Colorado and flew back to be in their wedding. your mom was so anxious for me to meet her cousin Ed Fitzpatrick. She thought we would be a good match. Well we were and were married 10 mo. later. May God give you strength during this difficult time. Love, Nancee  

I am sorry to hear that Bill died.  I am thankful that I  did  talk with him at Beverly's funeral in the back of the church.   He did know me and called me by name which was great.  I also sat next to him at the luncheon for Bob so we did get to talk some.  It was great to visit the Fedewa Farm and to have fun with our seven cousins.  They loved to tease us when they were milking the cows.   We used to sit along the driveway and crack black walnuts for Aunt Theresa
to use in her baking.    Bill and his brothers  were always fun and nice to be around.     Rest in peace Bill.   From your cousin,

Dear Mary – I am so happy we figured out our family relationship that day in the Dewitt Library a couple of years ago.  Who knew the woman sitting across the table from me for weeks ended up being my second cousin since our dads are first cousins.  You actually are more like a sister to me, and I am grateful to know you.  Your constant selfless efforts to making your dad comfortable and peaceful during his last days on earth are truly an inspiration.  Often, taking care of him was at the risk of setting aside taking care of yourself.  But you never complained.  And you know in your heart that he appreciated all that you did for him, your mom, and Jimmy.   May you take comfort in knowing that all three are enjoying their reunion and at peace without pain.  I will look forward to getting together often, Cous!  Peace and Love, Kathy

I will miss the driveway chats we had most evenings.  Thank you for welcoming my family to the neighborhood and your continued support over the years.

Mary's dad was what I called him.  I first met him when I met Mary, in middle school.  My parents approved of our friendship right away, the Fedewa's were Catholic after all...haha!   Mary's dad was hard working and loyal and had the best jokes!  Those traits he passed down to his daughter, Mary, his delight.  After his wife and Jimmy passed, she was his bright spot, and cared for him through his late years.  I am blessed and grateful to know this family.  Sending big hugs and prayers.   Linda (Fox) Lee 

I have known the Fedewa's for many years.   I met them when,  I started to help take care of their son, Jimmy after school in 1988.  A friendship grew from there.   I always considered Bill, Joan, Jimmy,  and Mary family.  I enjoyed Bill's sense of humor and his out look on life.   I remember he enjoyed  no-"loved" his favorite snack: bologna and cheese.   I think he would have had it every day if Joan would have let him have it!! Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I know he is together  with your mom, Jimmy, and Eugene eating his favorite snack with your mom shaking her head at him and Jimmy giving him a big grin.

I will always remember Bill's sense of humor.  His family was so important to him. He loved going for rides in the truck and having family bring him his favorite treats. He also loved going back to the farm.  He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed. 

Uncle Bill was a kind, gentle man. My Dad Bob, Uncle Bill and Uncle Don attended many swim camps at Houghton Lake. I remember 3 old guys on a pontoon cheering and guiding swimmers across the lake! Rest in peace. Love you! JS
