

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, (Marilyn) Kay, and his children, William N. Newberry (Elizabeth) of Williamston, Tracee Waier, of Irvine, California, Edward Newberry, (Rebecca) of Prescott, Arizona, and his sister, Betty Howell (Gene) of Ohio. He is also survived by his Sisters and Brothers-in-Law, Karen Newberry (Ohio), Connie Heintz (DeWitt), Sally and Edwin Gall (Saline), Deborah and Tom Pavlak (DeWitt), Carole and Richard Forton (Alto) and many nieces and nephews.
Bill’s grandchildren were his pride and joy: Olivia Newberry, Jack, Samantha and Caroline Waier, and Jacob and Isabella Newberry.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Newberry and his brother, James (Stoney) Newberry of Ohio.
Bill found great joy playing golf with his good friends and his brother-in-law, Bob Heintz, and was always right there cheering on the Lions and the Spartans.
Bill graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and Central Michigan University. After serving a short time in the Army, he pursued a career in banking for over 45 years.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Gorsline Funeral Home, located at 205 E. Washington Street in DeWitt on March 7, 2026, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
