Agnes Becnel Oubre

Agnes Becnel Oubre, 80, resident and native of Vacherie, died on Saturday, April11, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Roland J. Oubre; two daughters, Mona O. Gravois and Denise O. Rodrigue and husband, David; one son, Howard P. Oubre and wife, Kathy; six grandchildren, John Gravois, Mark Gravois, Corey Oubre, Amy Becnel, Gatlin Rodrigue, and Sydney Rodrigue; 13 great grandchildren, Lane Gravois, Bryce Gravois, Ava Gravois, Benjamin Gravois, Christopher Gravois, Lillie Gravois, Tyler Oubre, Logan Oubre, Kallie Oubre, Rylee Oubre, Alyse Becnel, Luke Becnel, and Gabriel Rodrigue; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Lois Matherne, Maria and Shelby Percle, Elaine and Wallace Naquin, and Rozlyn and Lionel Arcement ; and one brother and sister-in-law, John R. and Janelle Becnel.

Preceded in death by her parents, Elodie O. Becnel and John R. Becnel, Sr.; one son-in-law, Gregory J. Gravois; three sisters, Margorie Chapoton, Madeline Oubre, and Susan Becnel; and two brothers, Onezime Becnel and Robert Becnel.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie. Interment to follow in church cemetery. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville.

Pallbearers will be John Gravois, Corey Oubre, Mark Gravois, Gatlin Rodrigue, John Becnel, Jr. and Scott Arcement.
