Brett Joseph Bergeron

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Ordello Bergeron; daughter, Courtlynn Bergeron; two brothers, Richard Paul Bergeron II and Christopher John Bergeron; and his fiance’, April Armond and her two children, LeeAnn and Courtlyn Armond. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bergeron; grandparents, Rudy and Sally Strutinski Ordello and Claude and Mary Lee Richard Bergeron.

Brett held various positions with several construction companies prior to an automobile accident in 2002 that left him unable to work. He picked up odd and end jobs prior to finding his most recent passion for customization of side-by-side bikes at his Addis home.

Despite his own struggles Brett always found time to help others in need. He understood the importance of family and friends and his compassion and love knew no bounds. He was a pillar of strength for so so many and his joyful approach to life and infectious smile will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 5pm to 9 pm and on Monday, from 9am until 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow in the church mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be close friends Carlos Gavilanes, Johnathon Olando, Justin Friddle, Jamie Barlow, and his brothers Chris and Rick Bergeron.
