Cecillia Becnel

She is survived by two daughters Brenda Matherne and husband Arthur of Vacherie and Joycelyn Borne and husband Donald of Kraemer; two sons Samuel Becnel and wife Louise and Karl Becnel and wife Elizabeth all of Vacherie; one daughter-in-law Mary Becnel of Convent; three sisters Jeanne Gregoire, Rosemary Gravois, and Virgie Folse; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Joseph Guy Becnel; parents Edward Becnel and Corestide Stein Becnel; stepmother Adele Becnel; son Errol Becnel; three infant children; three brothers John Edward, Elmo, and Floyd Becnel, grandson Chad Becnel; two infant granddaughters.

Special thanks to Easter Seals, Obsolute Care, Journey Hospice nurses Gracie and Felecia, Deacon Brent, Dr. Roland Waguespack and Dr. James Soignet. Our caregivers Angelle Ardoin, Terry Amedee, Patricia Bellanger, and Cheryl Hubbell for the love and care shown to our mom as she battle Parkinson’s.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church of Vacherie from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm. Officiated by Rev. Vincent Dufresne.

Entombment will follow in church mausoleum.
