She enjoyed gardening, listening to old 60's music, dancing and cooking. Most of all, she loved the Lord and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters, Bridget Buxton Loland (Darrin) of Sevierville, TN and Shelly Buxton Ezell (John) of Pineville, LA; son, Scott Buxton (Chloe) of Napoleonville, LA; three sisters, Marilyn Crisp, Vera Landry and Gertrude Simoneaux; brother, Dennis Sanchez; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild along with a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Danvel "Ute" and Regina Sanchez; and sisters, Pearl Alleman and Dorothy Weber.
The pallbearers will be Scott Buxton, Austin Buxton, Kyle Buxton, Kolbe Buxton, Darrin Loland, Dylan Loland, Marlon "Bubba" Landry and Randy Alleman. The honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Sanchez, John Ezell, Garrett Ezell, Glen Albarado, Rodney Boudreaux and Leonard Simoneaux.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Shelly, John, Maddison and Garrett Ezell for the in-home care given to mom. Scott and Chloe Buxton for helping care for her while at Legacy and to family and friends for their visits with her. Also, thanks to the Legacy and Hope Hospice teams for their care and being family to mom when we could not be there.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 for 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am at New Covenant Community Church in Pierre Part. Burial to follow at Brusly St. Martin Catholic Church Cemetery in Brusly St. Martin. Pastor Joseph Sedotal and Dr. Jacob Crawford will officiate.
