

Enola B. Simoneaux Rogers, 83, was a native and resident of Donaldsonville. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Enola was taken into God’s loving care Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, Thursday, Aug. 19, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville at noon, with the Rev. Phil Spano, celebrant. Entombment will be in the church cemetery. Survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Chris and Frances Simoneaux; daughter, Elaine Chachati; daughter-in-law, Sherry Simoneaux; sister, Marie Latino; grandchildren and their spouses, Roxane Simoneaux, Heath and Lizbeth Simoneaux, Clint and Tiffany Chachati, Ron and Toni Chachati, Christina Saenz and Kathryn Edmiston; great-grandchildren, Steel Simoneaux, Robert Simoneaux, Madeline Simoneaux, Lillian Simoneaux, Tori Chachati, Max Chachati, Kyle Williams, Kaydence Serrano, Jaiden Saenz and Hannah Edmiston; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Rogers; parents, John and Aurelia Ruiz Barrient; brothers, Robert, Joseph, Evan, Tony, Herman, Sperling, and Wilbert Barrient; sister, Rose Sourita; son, Robert J. Simoneaux; and son-in-law, Victor P. Chachati. Enola lived a full and active life, enjoying hobbies such as fishing, casino trips with friends, watching Saints and LSU football, and any family get together involving boiled crabs.
