Eunice Gautreaux Ponvelle

Eunice was lovingly known to many as Mama, Mawmaw, Nanny, or Nanice. She enjoyed visiting and chatting on the phone with family and friends, attending mass, listening to country music, watching her favorite soap operas and western shows, drinking coffee and cooking for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Steve Ponvelle and wife, Bonnie; three grandchildren, Travis Ponvelle and wife, Amber, Victoria Bimah Templet and Victor Bimah; four great grandchildren, Hunter Ponvelle, Ryan Templet, Brycen Cannella and Brynlee Cannella and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Ponvelle; one granddaughter, Alesha Marie Ponvelle; parents, Raphael and Cora Gautreaux; one sister, Ula Himel and her two brothers, Herman and Robert Gautreaux.

The family would like to thank Dr. Francis Robichaux, Vital Caring Hospice, especially her nurses, Cody, Agalia and Ms. Betty Syverson.

A visitation will be held at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville, LA, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 9am until Mass of Christian burial at 11am. Entombment to follow in the church cemetery.
