Gregory J. Gravois, 58, a native and resident of Vacherie died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Tulane Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Mona Oubre Gravois and sons John Gregory, wife Angie, and Mark Roland, wife Terri. A devoted grandfather to Lane Gravois, Benjamin Gravois, Bryce Gravois, Christopher Gravois, Ava Gravois, and Lillie Gravois. Also survived by his mother Annie S. Gravois; brothers Albert A. Gravois, Matthew Gravois, and George Gravois. He is preceded in death his father Albert J. Gravois, sisters Laurie Gravois and Michelle Gravois. Mr. Gravois was a long-time business owner and contractor. He was the Governor’s appointee to the Port of South Louisiana where he served as Treasurer and Past President. Mr. Gravois was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11857.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie from 11:00 a.m. till Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
