Lena Mistretta Robert

Lena Mistretta Robert, age 91, of Donaldsonville, LA., passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Beloved and devoted wife of Glenn J. Robert, for the past 72 years. Loving mother of Alan J. Robert (Tessie), Glena Robert Harlan (Eric), Roy M. Robert, and Randal J. Robert (Jane). Grandmother of six grandchildren, Alana Haynie (Ryan), Kyle Robert, Austin Robert, Scott Harlan (Elizabeth), Stephen Harlan (Kelly), Sarah Paul (Dave) and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister, Bonnie M. Granada, and brother Joseph T. Mistretta (Sandra). Predeceased by parents, Joseph Mistretta and Elizabeth Bonanno Mistretta and daughter in law, Laurie S. Robert. A native and resident of Donaldsonville, LA., she graduated from St. Vincent Institute (1945), Ward-Belmont College (1947) and Louisiana State University (1949). Her vocation in life was raising her children and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A lifelong and active parishioner of Ascension Catholic Church, she served as a lector, participated on the liturgy committee, and was a faithful member of her small faith group.

She will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, 716 Mississippi St., Donaldsonville, LA. on Monday, May 24, 2021, at 11:00A.M. Visitation at the church beginning at 9:00A.M.
