Margie Sanchez Hidalgo

She enjoyed reading, playing her games on the fire tablet, cooking, going to the casino, and calling her grandsons daily!

She was survived by her son, Todd Hidalgo; grandson, Cory Hidalgo (Tahlia); granddaughters, Kim and Christy Hidalgo; five great-grandchildren, Cade, Kobe, Seth, Jena and Chase; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonze and Ora Sanchez; her husband, Joseph Hidalgo; her son, Richard Hidalgo; three sisters, Violet Jackson, Betty Walker, and JoAnn Sanchez; two brothers, Harold "Buster" Sanchez and Floyd Sanchez.

The pallbearers will be Cory Hidalgo, Cade Hue, Kobe Gautreau, Gilbert Hartzog Jr., Justin Chifici, and Roland Comeaux.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kodi Crisp Coleman for her care and compassion. Also a special thanks to Sharon Hood and Peggy Frye for always being there.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00 am at St. Jules Catholic Church in Belle Rose. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Tomi Thomas will be officiating.
