Mary Ann “Mamere” Schexnayder, 73, a native and resident of Convent, LA passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Eugene “Genie” Schexnayder; one daughter, Ronny Nesmith; three step daughters, Amy Waguespack, Stephanie Janis, and Virginia Caballero Acosta; two sons, Jeff Champton, and Christina Liles, and Dale Champton; two step sons, Mark Schexnayder and Pat Schexnayder; two sisters, Colette Chauvin and Adine Hymel; three brothers, John H. Schexnaydre, Paul Schexnaydre, and Thomas Schexnaydre; three grandchildren; and numerous step grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Olide and Neva Schexnaydre, and son Bryan Champton. Visitation will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
