Matthew Joseph Mahler

Matthew Joseph Mahler, 22, a native and resident of Vacherie, LA. died Saturday, August 2, 2014. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, LA. Wednesday, from 6:00-9:00PM and Thursday, from 7:30-11:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am with entombment in the church Mausoleum.

Survived by his mother, Lola Reulet Mahler, sisters, Cindi Ann Mahler, Kandi Mahler Falgoust, brother-in-law, Blake Joseph Falgoust, nephew/godchild Boyd Joseph Falgoust, girl-friend Brooke Kinler and his loving yellow lab Summer.

Maternal Grandparents Albert,Sr. and Lucy Mahler, Paternal Grandparents Pierre Helton and Lois Reulet; Godparents, Sharon Mahler and Wendell “Duke” Ockmond; Godchild, Andre’ Mahler, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Proceeded in death by his Father Boyd Anthony Mahler, Great-Great Aunt Taunte Louise Reulet, Great-Great Grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Henry Mahler, Mr. & Mrs. Louis Reulet, Mr. & Mrs. Garfield Falgoust, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Reulet.

He was an employee of Americas Styrenics. Matt enjoyed the outdoors, bike riding, hunting, fishing, working out and having a good time with family and friends.
