

Monica Theriot Bergeron, age 60, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, in Jefferson, Louisiana. Born on December 12, 1965, in Paincourtville, Louisiana, Monica lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family and passions.
Monica is survived by her loving husband, Todd Bergeron; her sons, Jordan Bergeron (Jessica) and Tanner Bergeron (Kacie); and her cherished grandsons, Benson Bergeron, Bradley Bergeron, and Kolt Bergeron. She also leaves behind her beloved parents, Robert and Joyce Theriot; her father-in-law, Phillip Bergeron; her brother, Christopher Theriot; her sisters Janelle Blanchard (Johnny) and Nicole Hernandez (Warren, Jr.); and her sisters-in-law Janet Campo (Richard), Cindy Detiveaux (Greg) and Joan Landry (Ricky). Monica was adored by numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Felix Theriot (Artemise); maternal grandparents, Jules Rousseau (Effie); and mother-in-law, Judy Bergeron.
Monica’s love for her family was boundless. Her three grandsons were the light of her life—her “grand babies,” as she lovingly called them—bringing endless joy to her days. She was a devoted wife and mother whose pure love radiated through every action. Monica had an incredible ability to make those around her feel cared for and valued. She was always willing to go out of her way for the people she loved.
A woman of many talents and interests, Monica found joy in baking and decorating cakes that delighted family celebrations. Her creativity extended to crocheting beautiful pieces that reflected the warmth of her personality. She also enjoyed playing bingo with friends and cheering on “her Saints,” sharing in the excitement of every game with unwavering enthusiasm.
Monica’s legacy is one of unconditional love, selflessness, and dedication to those she held dear. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial for 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Tomi Thomas will officiate.
