Percy "PJ" Joseph Ponville Jr.

Percy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a jack of all trades and a very talented welder. He enjoyed gardening, trucks, especially Fords, duck hunting, riding to the stockyard, and rocking in his rocker watching the cars pass.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of fifty eight years, Gale Simoneaux Ponville; two children, Varnam Michael Ponville (Allison) and Hallie Ponville Lambert; two grandchildren, Abbie Lambert (Ryan) and Cassidy Lambert; one great grandchild, Khylar Joel Hebert and two siblings, David Ponville (Janet) and Norma Lee Butler.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy Sr. and Ethel Ponville and one sister, Kathleen Ponville Landry.

Pallbearers will be: Varnam Ponville, Hallie Lambert, Brian Ponville, Travis Ponville, Ron Landry, and Ryan Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be: David Ponville, Ralph "RJ" Simoneaux, and Kenneth Simoneaux.

The family would like to thank Dr. Scott Hebert with Thibodaux Regional Oncology Clinic and Hope Healthcare and Hospice.

A visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum.
