

“God saw I was tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around me and whispered come home with me.” Our Champion who fought a courageous fight was taken up on angles wings Saturday, November 21, 2009. He was surrounded by his loving family, friends, pets and compassionate nurse Bonnie Peltier, in the comforts of his own home. He was born on October 23, 1943 and a respective native of Donaldsonville, La. He graduated from Ascension Catholic High in 1961. He was devoted to the family business Falsetta Amusements. He was a member of St. Joseph Alter Society. There aren’t enough words to express Rip’s strength, determination and enjoyment for life he presented to all he encountered. He was an inspiration even during his time of illness. He was a compassionate, loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He possessed an amazing heart of kindness and unique love for animals. He enjoyed fishing, going to movies, restoring vehicles and spending time with his family and pets. He is survived by his wife Judy LeBlanc Falsetta; daughters, Natalie Falsetta, Kimberly and husband Kevin Delaune, Jill Mary and husband Gerald Bello, Gina and husband Kyle Melancon, Nippy Nu, Pepina Sue, Blackie and Brownie; grandchildren Branden Falsetta, Linsey Delaune, Christopher Delaune, Zachary Braud, Nicholas Bello, and Mace Melancon; sisters and brothers-in-law Rosalyn Griffin, Marilyn and Ronald Diez. Preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Solange Falsetta; grandparents AC and Noelie Simoneaux, Tony and Rosa Falsetta; brother-in-law Charles Griffin; and old pals Trixie and Andy. Pallbearers will be Kevin Delaune, Christopher Delaune, Gerald Bello, Kyle Melancon, Branden Falsetta, Chuck Griffin, Ronald “Pookie” Diez, Andrew Charles “Banana” LeBlanc; honorary pall bearers will be Zachary Braud and Franklin Dotson. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at Ascension Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Patrick Stagg, Bonnie Joffrion Peltier, Comfort Care Hospice, and Amediaysis Hospice. His life an inspiration, his memory a blessing, our world will never be the same. The back bone of our family, we will always love you and miss you. Now we are the daughters of the brightest star in the sky, we love you daddy.
