Robert Wayne Walters

A native of Hattiesburg and resident of Donaldsonville passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on May 30, 2017. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who will be missed by all who loved him. He enjoyed wrestling, playing his playstation, watching movies, listening to music, telling jokes and just having fun. He always made people feel better about themselves and had a nickname for everyone he knew. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Walters; two sisters, Donna Moore (Mark) and Jacqueline Walters; one brother, Winston “Matt” Walters (Dewana); two nieces, Rachel and Audra (Taylor); three nephews, Roy, Ryan and Kevin Jr.; four great nieces, Rebecca, Lux, Kylei and Ryder; and two great nephews, Tucker and Taylor. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Joe Millien. A special thanks to Clarity Hospice, the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Baton Rouge and Ochsner Hospital in Houma, Louisiana.

Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm and on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 10 am to 11:45am. Entombment will be at St. Jules Catholic Cemetery in Belle Rose. In lieu of flowers, please donate in the name of Robert Walters to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
