

Wanda Faye Baker Ishmael, 70, died on Thursday, February 11, 2016. She was a lifelong Donaldsonville resident and a longtime active member of BPW. Wanda was owner of The Fabric Center in Donaldsonville. She loved flowers and enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, and reading. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Ishmael; three daughters and sons-in-law, DeeDee and Brandon Verrette, Stephanie and Greg Tatum, Lacey and Corey Gautreaux; six grandchildren, Trent and Tanner Tusa, Parker and Gunnar Tatum, Bella and Hunter Gautreaux; one great grandson, Jaxx Tusa; one sister, Gloria Baker; and one brother, Ronnie and Kay Baker. Preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Clara Baker. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at11:00 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville.
