Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. A true family man, he consistently put the needs of others before his own and found his greatest joy in caring for those he loved.
In his spare time, Bill enjoyed fishing, crawfishing, cooking, and, most of all, spending quality time with family and friends. He built many cherished memories through these simple but meaningful moments.
Bill dedicated 33 years of service to BellSouth as an Electrical Technician. He took great pride in his work and was deeply passionate about his career. Among his accomplishments, he was honored to be part of the First Pioneers, a testament to his commitment and contributions.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of sixteen years, Della LeBlanc Truxillo; three children, Michelle Truxillo Rivere (Keith), Joshua Truxillo and Tommy Colligan; six grandchildren, Hensley Truxillo, Hollyn Truxillo, Anderson Truxillo, Ashlyn Charlet, Sage Rivere and Cameron Capone; his one sister, Marion Truxillo Sparrow (Tony) and Sister Francesca Truxillo “Aunt Lillian”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Hazel Braud Truxillo.
Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to The Hospice of Baton Rouge.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Charles Bolotte, the staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge, and caregivers Kim, Brittany, Rachel, Valerie, Patricia, and Chaplain Sedrick, along with everyone who played a role in Bill’s care.
They would also like to express special thanks to Sherry Truxillo Miller for her compassion, care, and unwavering support.
