LaVonne Maxine Shull was born is Scenic, South Dakota in April of 1932. She moved to California with her family at the age of 10. Her family bought a home in Lakewood. She graduated from Excelcior High School in 1950. She married Phil Costello in 1951 and had her first daughter, Beatrice in 1952. She divorced and then married Ronnie Fowler in 1955 and had two more daughters, Diana and Rhonda. After 1962 she raised all three girls on her own with the help of her parents. When her father became very ill she helped her mother care for him for many years. She was a very dedicated daughter and mother. She worked for the school district for over 25 years and she really enjoyed working around young people. She and her oldest daughter moved to Chino in 2003. Her family is grateful that her passing was very peaceful and we rest in the knowledge that she is at home with her Lord.
