Samuel V. Vigil

He was born in Del Norte, Colorado on April 3, 1941, a son of the late Vidal and Adelina Marquez Vigil. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bernie, Arnold, and Joe vigil. He was a member of St. John of God Catholic Church in Norwalk.

Sam enjoyed hobbies such as Brick and masontry work, wood baskets and gardening. He often helped others when using these skills.

During his career, he worked for Ford Motor Co., McDonnel Douglas and Angelica Supply Co.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna, 3 daughters; Patricia, Rebecca, Gloria, and 6 grandchildren; Luis, Ava, Alina, Leah, Sammy and Christopher, 4 brothers; Archie, Raymond, Leonard, Arsenio, 5 sisters; Emelda, Figie, Barbara, Eva and Angie, many brother in laws and sister in laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing and Rosary will be held on Wednesday April 27, 2011 at 4 P.M. and Funeral Mass will be on Thursday April 28, 2011 at 11 A.M. both being held at Whites Funeral Home at 9903 E. Flower St. in Bellflower, California.

Sam will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Samuel V. Vigil, age 70, a long time resident of Norwalk, California, passed away on April 22, 2011. He died after a courageous battle with cancer.
