

Wayne Allen Harvey was born in Monterey Park, California on February 8, 1940 and Passed away July 17, 2012 at the age of 72 years young. He Graduated from South Gate High School in 1958. Wayne worked as a Letter Carrier at the South Gate Post Office for 33 years, and Retired July 1992. He was also a Driving Instructor for E-Z Driving School for 10 years, and Retired January 2005. Wayne was in the United States Army from1963 to 1966. Did Boot Camp training at Fort Ord, California and served in Korea and Fort Lewis, Washington.
Wayne was a racecar enthusiast and belonged to the Rod Riders Car Club, the
Southern California Timing Association and the National Hot Rod Association
in the 1960's thru the 1980's. Wayne enjoyed racing at Irwindale (the old Bean Field)
And at El Mirage Dry Lake in Victorville, California and Quarter mile track in Carlsbad,
California and the Salt Flats in Bonneville, Utah.
He is Pre- deceased by his father and mother Henry H. Harvey and Marjorie (Hirschberger)
Harvey and his brothers Hank (Sonny) Harvey and Gene Harvey.
Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty (Cimino) Harvey.
Brothers-in law Jimmy Cimino and Frank (Butch) Cimino and wife Emmy Cimino.
And our extended family-Jeannie Cimino and Stacey Cimino.
Our nine loving nieces and five caring nephews.
Many loving cousins and friends and his loving puppies, Penny and Holly.
