Anna Tyczynski

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the age of 98. Born on April 10, 1914 in Midland, Ontario Anna was a much loved mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her children Ms. Diane Tyczynski, Mr. & Mrs. Wanda (Bill) Roberts and Dr. & Mrs. Edward (Mary Jean) Tyczynski and her granddaughter Ms. Cristin Roberts. Predeceased by her former husband Joseph Tyczynski. Anna came from a large family. She is survived by Peter Staruck and Rose McComb, and predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Staruck, Adam Staruck and her sisters Helen Gardy, Joan Lawrence and Michealine Stewart. She will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and her many friends and neighbours who brought joy into her life. Her family wishes to thank the many people who enabled her to live her life with dignity and ease. We wish to extend our gratitude and thanks to all the members of the community and caring staff of Bayshore Home Health personal service workers, St. Joseph’s Home Health Care nurses, McMaster Family Practice Team and the ladies from the Women’s Catholic League of Canadian Martyrs Parish. Anna greatly appreciated their care and understanding in her final years. Finally, sincere gratitude is extended by the family to the staff of the Clinical Teaching Unit of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Charlton Campus for their outstanding quality of care in her final days. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Wednesday, August 15th from 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 16th at 11am. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, Charlton Campus, Clinical Teaching Unit Central would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
