Barbara Aleksandra Armour

Barbara Armour, lovingly known as Basia, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Stoney Creek, Ontario, at the age of 86. Barbara was born on January 2, 1940, in Warsaw, Poland. In 1987, she immigrated to Canada, bravely beginning a new chapter in her life. In 1990, she married Peter Orr Armour, and together they made their home in Grimsby, where they shared many happy years until Peter’s passing in 2021. Barbara leaves behind a daughter, Agnieszka Lenart, and three grandsons, Michal, Marius, and Marcin, all living in Poland.

She worked for many years as a Personal Support Worker in the Niagara region and was deeply respected in her profession. Barbara was known for her kindness, dedication, and compassion for those in her care. She was a very sweet and happy person, always smiling, and her warm presence made everyone around her feel welcome.

Barbara leaves behind many people who cherished her company and will miss her gentle spirit dearly.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 2pm-4pm.
