Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026. She was a native of Coventry, England.
Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth (Jan 22, 2016). Eileen will be sadly missed by her children, Richard, Susan, Michael (Sue), and David (Candice), her beloved grandchildren Chelsea, Devon, Sean, and Christopher, and her great-grandchildren Grayson, Morgan and Charlotte.
Graduating from Bedford College for Women with a Bachelor of Arts, Eileen served as a teacher with the HWDSB when she came to Canada, as well as working at the Ancaster Highschool Library. She was a member of CFUW Hamilton for over 50 years, spending much of her time reading and reviewing books. She was an avid swimmer, where she began swimming in Coventry, England, and then was on the swim team in college. After coming to Canada, she went on to swim for the Ancaster Masters Swim Team for many years.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Dundas Museum and Archives, 139 Park Street West, Dundas on Saturday April 18, 2026 from 1pm – 4pm.
