It is with deep sadness that the family of Eileen Agnes Simeon (nee Mildon), 84, of Ancaster, announces her passing on February 16, 2012. Eileen died peacefully in her sleep at St. Peter’s Palliative Care Ward after a lengthy battle with ALS. Eileen leaves behind her son Keith and daughter Cathy (Tim), and grandchildren Caitlyn, Evan, Brenda, Kim, Julia, & Josh. Predeceased by her husband Alec, daughter Dawn, son Roger, son John, brother Dennis, and sister Doris. She is survived by sisters Joyce, Esme, Pauline, and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, USA, and England. A long time resident of the Major Wilcox Seniors Apartments in Ancaster, Eileen hosted a weekly game night in her apartment to close friends that will miss her dearly. Many thanks to her niece Joanne and her family for all the help getting her through this lengthy illness. As per Eileen’s request, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Tuesday, February 21st from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 22nd at 1pm. Donations to the ALS Society of Canada or a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
