It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Gallant. She was a caring and nurturing wife to her surviving husband Rodney Joseph Gallant. She will always be remembered as a loving mother to Dan, Pat, Bob and Jim and a thoughtful and loved mother-in-law to Elise, Shelley, Tracy and Cathy. The hearts of her grandchildren Michael, Andrew, Jason, Kayla and Thomas and her great grandchildren Evelyn and Cadence, are broken. She cherished all of them so much and left a great legacy with them. She was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and settled in Hamilton, Ontario to raise a family and reside. Her roots of the East coast in music and generosity were always maintained and passed on for future generations. May she rest in peace.
Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home, Swackhamer Chapel, 195 King Street W., Dundas (905-627-7452), on Tuesday, August 29th, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church, 58 Sydenham St., Dundas, on Wednesday, August 30th at 11:00am. As per Peggy’s wishes, cremation is to follow.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Peggy’s name may be made to the Heart&Storke Foundation.
