

Husband to his late wife Lillian Ione Rennalls (nee Lord) (2009), father to Heather, Carl and Anton. Son of the late Cecil George Rennalls ("Poppy") and Catherine Rebecca Rennalls ("Katie"). Survived by his older siblings: Aston Rennalls ("Vee") (Mildred 2020), Ina Rennalls ("Dottie") and Carmen Myers ("Lynette"). Uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada, United States, Jamaica and England.
Predeceased by his brother-in-laws Frank Griffth, Frederick Lorde and Alix Johnson, sister-in-laws Bernetha Clark and Mildred May Rennalls and niece Siobhan Amani Alexander.
Born and raised in St. Faith’s in St. Catherine, Jamaica, Owen immigrated to England where he took mechanic and met his wife. After marrying and two children later, the family immigrated to Canada in August 1965. Settling in Hamilton then Dundas, Ontario. Owen worked as a mechanic at Carters. Later along with his wife, became proprietors of O & L Haulage, then became owners of Valley Taxi in Dundas.
Owen was a member of Lions International, the Dundas Rotary Club and the Afro-Canadian Caribbean Association of Hamilton (ACCA).
Unfortunately, poor health plagued him and he resided at Alexandra Place in Waterdown, Carlise Retirement Home in Hamilton before residing at Woodingford Lodge.
Special thanks to all staff, doctors and nurses at the long-term home facilitates where our father resided along with the hospitals: Juravinski Hospital, Joseph Brant Hospital, Hamilton General Hospital and Woodstock General Hospital. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Roth and to all staff at Woodingford Lodge, especially during his infirmity. The family greatly appreciated the care.
In lieu of flowers, donations to any of the following will be greatly appreciated; Alzheimer Society of Canada, Sickle Cell Association of Ontario, Parkinson Canada and The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Friends will be received at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Tuesday, July 13th from 4-7pm. A Private Funeral will be held and can be viewed at www.marlattfhdundas.com on Wednesday, July 14th at 11am.
